2 cups Flour
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. orange rind
3/4 cup Orange juice
1 1/4 cups chopped cranberries
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Sift together 2 cups of flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. salt. Add 1/4 cup shortening into dry ingredients until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Combine 1 egg, 1 tsp. orange rind, 3/4 cup orange juice into bowl. Add all of the liquid into the dry ingredients, just enough to dampen. Fold in nuts and chopped cranberries. Bake in greased pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees
