2 medium stalks celery, sliced
1 medium carrot, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1 small green pepper, chopped
2 T. margarine or butter
3 T. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. cooked wild rice
1 c. water
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) condensed chicken broth
1 c. half and half
1/3 c. toasted slivered almonds,
optional
3 brautwurst/Italian sausage, grilled and cut into bite-size pieces, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cook and stir celery, carrot, onion and green pepper in margarine in 3 qt. saucepan until celery is tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in wild rice, water, broth and sausage. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. Stir in half and half and almonds. Heat just until hot (do not boil).
