1¼ c stearic acid
2 c glycerine
1 small cube parafin wax
½ tsp borax
1 Tbsp 28% ammonia

Directions:
Directions:
In a double boiler, put the glycerine, stearic acid and wax, dissolve completely. Add ammonia (add the ammonia outside --it will strangle you). Stir until cloudy. Dissolve borax in very warm water. Stir this to mixture until it thickens.

As I went through Mother Dale's recipes I found this one over and over. It is Stella's recipe and I just felt it was worth adding. Mother Dale really made this I am sure. It is a secret for wrinkle prevention perhaps. We all may make up some batches.
