2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 Tbs grated orange rind
1 egg
1/2 c. nuts
1 cup cranberries

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease and flour a loaf pan.
Combine the flour sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in the shortening. Beat the egg and combine with orange juice, and orange rind ; then mix into dry ingredients. Fold in the nuts and cranberries. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour.
