6 T. butter
1/2 c. carrots, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/4 c. green onions, chopped
1/4 c. onions, chopped
1/3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. chicken broth
3 1/2 c. 1/2 & 1/2
1 c. milk
4 c. frozen corn (do not use can corn)
1 1/4 c. co-jack cheese, grated
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. celery salt
grilled ham pieces, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in soup pan then add carrots, celery and onions. Cook until slightly firm. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring occasionally so not to burn. Then add chicken broth, 1/2 & 1/2 and milk. Stir until smooth. Then add remaining ingredients.
Can also add ham in. You can also serve with grated cheese and sliced green onions on top.
