1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/3 cup sugar
2 Tbs. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbs. butter (melted)
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
3 Tbs. butter, melted
1 cup buttermilk

Combine walnuts, 3/4 cup sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and 3 Tbs. melted butter to make filling. Set aside. Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Cream together 1/2 cup sugar, egg, 3 Tbs. melted butter and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients to liquid ingredients and then add the walnut mixture (the filling).

Bake in preheated 400º oven in lightly greased muffin pans for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with 1/2 cup of honey over the top of the muffins.
