1 pkg yeast
1½ c warm water
1 c unseasoned mashed potatoes, lukewarm
2/3 c sugar
2/3 c shortening
2 eggs
1½ tsp salt
6 - 7 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Add potatoes, sugar, shortening, eggs and salt. Mix well and add flour, stirring after every 2 c are added. Knead dough well, then cover and let raise until doubled. Dough can be refrigerated for up to 5 days at this point, or rolls can be panned and raised one more time. Then bake rolls on greased pans for 12 - 15 minutes at 375°. This dough is by far the best dough I’ve ever made. I use it to make dinner rolls, breadsticks, fry bread, orange rolls, cinnamon rolls, sticky rolls, etc. Often I double the recipe, and because this is a refrigerator dough, I use the dough all week long for a variety of purposes.
