2 1/4 sticks margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup salad oil
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 3/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, oil and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and mix with wet ingredients. Chill until firm - approx. 2 hours. Form into 1 inch balls, roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet; flatten with bottom of glass. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes until light brown; 8 minutes makes crusty outside and soft inside.
