1 qt. chicken stock
1 qt. water
1 soup bone - or you may use skirts of sirloin strips

3 beef bouillon cubes
salt, pepper to taste
1 lg. can tomatoes, juice and all (use fresh tomatoes if in season.)
1 small potato, cut in small pieces
3/4 c celery, chopped
1 small onion, chopped fine
2 whole carrots, peeled and sliced
1 c okra (fresh or frozen) cut in 1/2 inch pieces

Directions:
Boil beef in stock, water and bouillon cubes until beef is done. Remove bone. Add celery, carrots, onion. Cook until vegetables are tender crisp. Add 1 lg can of tomatoes (mash tomatoes if whole) and small potato. Cook this until all vegetables are done but not overdone. Add okra. Cook 5 minutes more.

In reheating do not let remain on stove any longer than to heat thru. Do not overcook.
