Directions:
Prepare steak or chicken. Coat in baking mix. Brown in 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter in skillet. When browned, coat in flour mix and put in dutch oven or roaster. Add onion to round steak. Pour about 2 cups of water in skillet. Pour this into casserole over meat. Cover. Bake at 325º for 2 hours or 350º for 1 1/2 hours.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I helped Grandma Bunny prepare this MANY Sundays for supper. It is a very flexible recipe. Sirloin can be used instead of round steak. It can be prepared the day before and refrigerated until cooking time. Makes a feast from a cheap meat.
Note from Denise: Zach loves this dish. I love to make it because it's easy and I think about my Grandma when I do it.
