1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
Garlic salt
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg (optional)
4 cups chopped cabbage
1 cup raw rice
1 15 oz. can tomato soup
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
2 cups water
Salt and pepper

Brown ground beef in a skillet. Add onion, garlic salt, bread crumbs, egg and rice. Form into meatballs.

Chop the cabbage and put in the bottom of a dutch oven. Add meatballs on top. Mix tomato soup, tomato paste and water. Pour over cabbage/meatball mixture. Cook about 25-30 minutes or until rice is done.
