1 No.2 can applesauce (2 1/2 c.)
1 pkg lemon jello
1 pkg raspberry jello
1 No. 2 can crushed pineapple (2 1/2 c)
grated rind of one orange
1/2 c. fresh orange juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 7 oz. bottle 7 UP

Heat applesauce hot enough to dissolve jello. Set aside to cool. Add other ingredients. Finish with the 7 Up to retain carbonation. This makes 12 half-cup molds.

I believe this was the salad recipe I looked for in all of mother's collection. She was not feeling well at the time so I was on my own. Suddenly she appeared, told me she thought I might be looking for the salad recipe. She gave a little laugh, pointed to her head while saying "It's up here." So often the good food we ate came from "up here".
