16 regular marshmallows
2/3 cup Creme de Menthe
1 pint whipping cream

Directions:

Melt marshmallows in a double boiler over hot water. Add Creme de Menthe and mix with an electric mixer until completely incorporated. Cool. Beat whipping cream until stiff. Fold first mixture into cream. Dip into stemmed glasses and refrigerate for several hours before serving.

Almost any liqueur may be substituted in this recipe. Alcoholic Note "From Julia Child's Kitchen": Letter from a 88 year old listener to her television show: 'I saw that Julia of yours the other night putting teaspoon after teaspoon of booze in her dessert, and all the while saying it was good for the children. I know that Julia. She's a tool of the liquor interests - she's always pushing booze.' Well you don't have to booze it up, just use more vanilla. I have been told by some AA people, never put even a drop of wine or liqueur in anything if you are having an alcoholic at your table, since just a whiff of it can send them off."
