1-3/4 C flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1 egg unbeaten
1/2 C shortening
2 T milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C peanut butter
Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and soda. Cream shortening and peanut butter. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape by rounded tsp. into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place milk chocolate candy kiss or star on top of each, pressing down so cookie cracks around edge. Place back in oven for 2-5 minutes or until chocolate sticks to cookie.
