5-8 pound pork loin
garlic and onion powder, (small amount of salt)
Sprinkle roast with powders and salt. Place fat side up in pan. Roast 25 minutes per pound in oven pre-heated to 325°.

2 tablespoons oleo
3/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup red plum preserves
½ cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup chili sauce
¼. cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
3 drops Tabasco

Melt oleo, add onions and cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 15 minutes. Pour fat off roast and pour ½ of sauce over meat and cook another 20 or 30 minutes longer, basting often. Serve sauce in a small pitcher or in gravy dish with ladle.
