2 lbs ham, ground
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 lb pork, ground
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 lb veal, ground
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tube Ritz© crackers (finely crushed)


Optional:

Substitute ground beef for ground veal



Baste:

3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp vinegar

If you have a butcher that will do it have him grind all three meats together 3 times. If not just mix them together.

Crush Ritz crackers until fine. Add the slightly beaten eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Mix together with meat until completely combined. Makes one large loaf or two medium loaves. Bake in 350º for 1 hour. After the first half hour baste every 10 minutes.

It takes a while to put together but it will quickly become one of you favorites.
