One bottle dry white wine (There are many versions. Red wine is used in several.)
Chopped fruit for fun and color:
apples, oranges, limes, lemons, grapefruit, Bing cherries, melons, strawberries (maybe bananas just before serving)
1 c. orange juice (or, lemon or lime juice)
shot of brandy, rum, Curacao, Gran Mariner, or other
Sugar or Splenda to taste, dissolved in water
20oz Carbonated beverage: ginger ale, 7-Up, or club soda

Directions:
Combine juice, liquor, sweetener and fruit. Let chill a few hours in the refrigerator to blend flavors. Before serving, add chilled wine, shaved or cubed ice, and possibly carbonated beverage. Taste and adjust where desired. Serve in clear glass pitcher for effect. Garnish clear glasses with pinwheeled or sliced citrus fruit.
