Directions: |
Directions:Combine meat, onion, salt, pepper and cook over low heat until well browned. If you like spicy foods you may add approximately 3/4 cup salsa or picante sauce at this point and simmer until liquid is all gone.
For each turnover, place 2 biscuits just slightly overlapping on a well-floured surface. Roll until each biscuit is about 5" wide. Place about 1/3 of the meat mixture on one biscuit. Top with one slice of cheese which has been cut in half diagonally. Moisten edges of bottom biscuit with water and bring second biscuit down over it and seal with a fork. Cut three small slices on top of turnovers.
Bake at 425º for 8 -10 minutes or until golden brown. |
