Monte Cristo Sandwich Recipe

3 slices white bread
vegetable oil
mayonnaise or miracle whip
1 slice of ham (large enough to cover bread)
1 slice swiss cheese (large enough to cover bread)
1 slice turkey (large enough to cover bread)
1 1/3 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 egg

Mix milk, flour, egg, salt, and baking powder.
Stir until smooth.
Spread mayonnaise on 3 slices of bread.
Place ham and cheese on 1 slice.
Place turkey on second slice.
Top with 3rd slice to make a three layered sandwich.
Use toothpicks to hold together.
Dip sandwich in egg batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Cut in quarters and serve with mustard sauce.
