Small head of cabbage (2 1/2 lbs.)
1 c sugar
1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. chopped onion
2/3 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped red pepper or pimento

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and vinegar and heat over low heat.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Set aside to cool.
Shred cabbage.
When vinegar mixture is cool, add mustard seed, celery seed, salt, onion, green pepper, and red pepper or pimento.
Mix well.
Pour over cabbage and mix.
Put in container, cover and store in refrigerator.
Let stand in refrigerator for several days to develop flavor and crispness.
