1/4 lb. plus 4 tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
2 (15 oz.) cans green asparagus spears
1/2 c. toasted almonds (optional)
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 jar Old English cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 1/4 lb. margarine and mixed with crumbs.
Pat in bottom of 8" x 12" casserole dish and up onto the sides.
Arrange asparagus on crumbs and sprinkle with almonds.
Mix remaining margarine, flour and milk together for sauce.
Add cheese to hot suace and stir until melted and thick.
Pour over asparagus.
Top with additional crumbs.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
