2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter (scant)
2 eggs, beaten
4 cups flour
1 cup nuts
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter ad sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Add mixed dry ingredients and nuts. Make into roll and chill. Slice 1/4 inch thick and place in pan 1 inch apart. Bake in moderate oven.

From Rich's grandmother, Edna Cramer. Millie makes into 4 rolls. She bakes one roll after chilling and freezes the other three.
