25-30 medium sized cucumbers
8 large white onions
2 large sweet peppers
4 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of salt
Ice cubes
5 cups of cider vinegar
5 cups of sugar
2 Tsp of mustard seed
1 tsp of turmeric
1 Tsp of celery seed

Directions:

Wash cucumbers and slice as thin as possible. Slice onions and peppers, combine with cucumbers add the garlic and salt mix well. Add enough ice to cover the pickles, mix well and let stand for three hours and drain. (discard garlic) Combined sugar vinegar and spices in a large canning kettle, bring to a boil. Add drained cucumbers; heat thoroughly but do not boil. Pack while hot into sterile jars and seal at once. Process in hot water bath for five minutes.
