1 c soft butter or margarine
1/2 c confectioners sugar
2 c flour
pinch salt
Mix as pie dough. Press in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Beat together the following ingredients:
4 beaten eggs
2 c sugar
6 T flour
6 T lemon juice
1 T lemon rind

Spread over base while hot. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar. Cut into squares.

Mom had more than one recipe for this treat. I choose the one in Aunt Louise's handwriting. She always brings this to family reunions and it is so delicious, if you don't get some the first time around the buffet table, you may miss out.
