1 C. Butter or Margarine
1 C. Water
1/2 C. cocoa powder
2 C. All-Purpose Flour
2 C. Sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. Buttermilk
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, Combine butter or margarine, with water and cocoa. Cook and stir until mixture comes to boiling. Remove from fire, and set aside. In a a bowl, stir together flour, sugar, soda,and salt. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla.Stir batter into hot Cocoa mix, by hand beat until well combined. Pour into greased and floured brownie baking pan. Bake in 400º oven for 20 minutes. While brownies are warm, pour buttermilk frosting over the top. Cut into bars when cool.

Chocolate Buttermilk Frosting:
In a saucepan, combine 4T. Butter, 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder, and 1/4 Cup Buttermilk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 tsp. vanilla, and 2 1/4 Cups sifted powdered sugar. Mix and pour over brownies.
