1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine or butter
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:

Heat oven to 350°. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Heat margarine and 1 cup of the chocolate chips in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Stir in sugar, flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt and eggs until smooth. Stir in remaining chocolate chips. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake about 30 minutes or until center is set; cool completely. Cut into about 2x1 1/2-inch bars. Store tightly covered.
