1/2 gal. milk
1 1/2 c. ugar
1 t. vanilla
6 eggs separated
1/3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk. Beat yellow of eggs until lemon-colored. Mix 1 c sugar and flour together. Slowly add a little at a time to the milk, beat with an eletric mixture. Cook until the mixture coats a spoon. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add 1/2 c. sugar, vanilla and nutmeg.

My mother loved egg nog but I don't remember her ever making it. I guess that's just because I don't like it and by the time I got old enough to pay attention she bought it pre-made at the store.
