3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups half and half
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup butter
pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa, and half and half then cook slowly over medium heat until reaches the soft ball stage. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Stir until butter is melted. Pour out onto slab of marble. After it cools slightly beat with a spatula. When it begins to harden and lose its glossy color add pecans. Form into square and cut into small pieces.

I have made this every year at Christmas since 1971. I adapted the recipe from the one on the back of Hershey's cocoa. I did make some changes.
