12 red peppers
12 green peppers
12 large onions
2 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
3 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Clean out peppers and run peppers and onion through a food grinder. Cover with boiling water and let stand five minutes. Drain well and add vinegar, sugar and salt. Boil five minutes. Put in sterile jars.

I remeber Mother making something called chow chow. Perhaps this is the same recipe -- not sure. Now we could certainly use a food processor rather than a grinder.
