4-5 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
1 cup pasta (rigatoni, penne, not macaroni)
3-4 medium onions peeled and sliced
2 tbsp butter or margarine
4 cloves of garlic minced or pressed
1 tsp salt
1/4 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
dash of nutmeg
1 tsp thyme
3 tbls chopped parsley
1/2 c whipping cream
paprika as garnish on top

Directions:
Directions:
Sautee onions and potatoes in butter, add garlic for last minutes, meanwhile, cook pasta in separate pan and drain. Mix seasonings together, including parsley, excluding paprika. Arrange potatoes, pasta, and onion in layer, cover with half the seasonings, repeat. Bake at 350º for about 40 minutes. Pour whipping cream over top and sprinkle with paprika. Return to oven at 400º and bake another 10 minutes. Serve with BBQ or broiled meat. Serves: 8-10 Prep: 1/2 hr. + baking
