1/2 c cider
2 tbsp instant minced onion
2 1/2 tbsp Italian seasoning, crushed
3/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper
2 whole chicken breasts, halved, boned, skinned and slightly flattened
8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 c coarsely chopped green pepper
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp fresh lemon juice

In a large skillet combine1 c water, cider, onion, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and pepper, bring to a boil. Add chicken breasts; return to boil.

Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20 minutes. Add mushrooms and green pepper. Continue to simmer, covered, until chicken and vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Remove chicken breasts to a serving platter, keep warm.

Combine flour with 2 tbsp water, paprika and lemon juice, stir into mixture remaining in skillet.

Cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spoon sauce over chicken. Serve on a bed of cooked noodles, if desired.
