1 c. corn meal
1 c. cold water
3 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix corn meal with cold water. Add to boiling salted water. Cover; cook over boiling water 30 min, or over medium direct heat 7 to 10 min. Stir occasionally. Serve hot with milk and sugar or pour into loaf pan to set overnight in the refrigerator for fried mush.

To fry, cut cold molded mush into 1/2-inch slices. Pan fry in a small amount of hot shortening or butter until golden brown. Serve hot with syrup or honey.
