6 c. beef broth
16oz. can black beans drained
2 potatoes diced
1/2 lbs. cooked ham cut into pieces
4oz. can green chilies. optional
4oz. can jalapeno pepper (I use a tablespoon of it--too hot!)
1/4 c. dried chopped onions
1 clove garlic minced
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. ground oregano leaves
1 tsp. ground thyme leaves
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
sour cream for garnish

In a crock pot combine all ingredients cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 5 hours. Garnish with sour cream and serve.
