1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped pecan's

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Spray an 8 in. square pan with cooking spray.
3. In a small saucepan, melt butter, turn off heat, add brown sugar, and stir until smooth.
4. Stir in egg
5. Sift flour and baking powder and stir into the brown sugar mixture.
6. Add vanilla and pecan's
7. Pour the batter into pan and bake for 25 minutes.
When cool, dust the top with confectioner's sugar.
