8 oz. semisweek chocolate
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. ground almonds
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Butter a deep 9" cake pan and line bottom with buttered waxed paper or parchment paper.
Melt chocolates and let cool. Cream butter with 3/4 cup sugar. Beat in egg yolks one by one. Stir in chocolates, vanilla and almonds. Beat egg whites and salt to soft peaks. Gradually beat in 1/4 c. sugar until whites hold stiff peaks. Stir 1/3 of egg whites into chocolate mixture. Fold mixture into remaining egg whites. Pour into pan and bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs. about 35-40 minutes. Let cake cool in pan. Serve with whipped cream and berries.
