Make long slit on each side of each chestnut. Bake in preheated oven at 500 degrees for 15 minutes. Shell and skin nuts, then boil in salted water to cover, in covered saucepan for 20 minutes. Drain. Chop medium fine and mix in your favorite dressing recipe.
