½ cup sugar
½ cup molasses
2 cup sweet or sour milk
1 tsp. salt
2 cup graham (or wheat) flour
1 cup white flour (may need a little more)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 - 2 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º

Stir together sugar and molasses.
Add milk and dry ingredients.

Bake for 1 hour or more until very firm.
Turn upside down and let cool until bread falls out of pan.
Makes 1 long or 2 regular loaves.

Got this recipe in 1984 from an 80 year old New Hampshire man that I was taking care of.
