2 c sugar
1/2 c light Karo
1/2 c water
pinch salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, Karo, water and salt to a soft ball. Pour approximately 1/3 over stiffly beaten egg whites and mix. Boil the remainder syrup to hard crack. Add to first mixture, beating constantly. Add vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls on foil.

This is a melt in your mouth divinity and makes a wonderful holiday treat. This recipe is named after the friend who shared it with me many decades ago.
