8 oz spaghetti
1 T virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 C shredded basil leaves
1/2 c unsalted chicken stock
1/2 c freshly grated Romano cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 c pine nuts - toasted in a small dry skillet over medium heat
black pepper

Begin by cooking pasta until al dente. While pasta is cooking, prepare sauce: heat oil over medium heat, then add garlic. Saute for about 30 seconds, then turn heat to low and add basil. Stir for another 30 seconds until basil wilts. Pour in stock and simmer gently while you finish the pasta. Once pasta is cooked, drain and add it to the skillet with the basil. Toss well to coat the pasta. Add toasted pine nuts, cheese, salt and pepper to taste; toss again.
