1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
6 large eggs
3 cups cake flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat first 4 ingredients at medium speed for 10 minutes or until fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, beating at low speed.until blended after each cup. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10" tube pan.(Bakers Joy)
Bake at 325 º for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, remove from pan and cool on wire rack.

This recipe came from an old Southern Living magazine. It is foolproof. I like to add 1 tsp. almond extract to change the flavor a little.
