2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
dash of salt
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 cups raw peanuts
2 tbls butter
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 drops red food coloring
pecans are very good in this

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, salt, water and corn syrup in 2 qt. glass measuring cup. Bring to a boil in the microwave (approximately 3 minutes); stir and add peanuts; return to microwave and cook 7-9 minutes or until soft ball stage (234º F) is reached. Remove from microwave, add butter, vanilla, and food coloring. Cool and beat until creamy. Drop by tablespoons on to greased cookie sheet or make 2 large patties. Yield: 2 large or 18 small Prep: 15 min.
