2 - 6 1/2 oz. cans minced clams
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced celery
1 1/2 c. diced potatoes
1 c. chopped carrots (optional)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 pint half & half
1/2 tsp. sugar
3 c. milk
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. season-all

Directions:
Directions:
Drain clams and use juice over vegetables. Add enough water to cover vegetables. Simmer until tender (about 15-20 min.). Melt butter, add flour, cook and blend until light gold color. Add milk. Stir until smooth and thick. Add to vegetables. Add clams. Stir and heat. DO NOT BOIL.
Serves 8-10.
