8 apples thinly sliced
2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2/3 Cup Crisco (refrig. nite before)
3/4 c. sugar
4 T. lemon juice
cinnamon
10 pats butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and salt together, cut in Crisco with pastry mixer until size of peas. Add water until forms into a ball. Divide dough in 2 ( may wrap in wax paper and refrig. 1 day).

Roll out crust, put in 1/2 apples, 1/2 sugar and lemon juice, and sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 1/2T butter. Put in rest of apples and repeat sugar, juice, cinnamon and butter. Put on top crust, cut vents and rub top with evaporated milk. Bake at 350º for 1 hr. ( after 1/2 hr. change racks)
