1 3/4 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar
1 tbsp grated lemon rind
1 egg, beaten
1 (8 oz) carton lemon yogurt
1/4 c plus 2 tbsp butter, melted
1 tbsp lemon juice

1/4 c sugar
2 tsp grated lemon rind
1/3 c lemon juice

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Make a well in center of mix and set aside.

Combine egg, yogurt, butter and lemon juice, stir well. Add to dry mixture; stir just until moistened.

Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filled 3/4 full. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pans for 5 minutes. Remove from pans and place on wire rack. While warm, prick holes with a toothpick and pour glaze over top of muffins.

To make glaze:
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves.
