3/4 c margarine
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 t vanilla
3 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
Directions:
Directions:
cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Blend in egg and vanilla; add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill 4 hours or overnight. Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/8" thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400º for 5-7 minutes. Cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet.
Stain Glass:
combine 1 t light cornsyrup
with a few drops of food coloring
colors will be very intense but transparent
pastel shades require very little color
mix a variety of colors
paint the cookies as desired with a small brush
Allow cookies to dry at room temp.
