1-1/2 cups (12 oz. bottle) Log Cabin Syrup
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 unbaked 8-inch pie shell
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Bring syrup to a boil in a 1-12-quart saucepan: boil gently uncovered, for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Sprinkle nuts in pie shell. Cream butter; blend in sugar, flour, and salt. Add eggs, syrup, and vanilla: mix well. Pour into shell. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes, or until pie is completely puffed across top and browned. Cool. Garnish with prepared Cool Whip Whipped Topping, if desired.
