2 large onions
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
1/2 c milk
1/2 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 t melted shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Clean onions: cut into 1/4 -1/2" slices and seperate
into rings. Combine egg yolk and milk. Add flour,
salt, and 1 t melted shortening. Mix until smooth.
Dip onion rings into batter. Fry in 3/4" melted
shortening in skillet. Fry until lightly browned.
Drain on paper towel.
