1 lb. Ground beef, lean
1 large onions, sliced
¼ cup milk
Sharp cheese, shredded
salt and pepper
can cream of mushroom soup
6 large potatoes, sliced very thin

Directions:
Directions:
Press uncooked ground beef in bottom of casserole dish. Add milk, salt and pepper. Layer sliced potatoes over meat, layer onions over potatoes. Sprinkle shredded cheese over onions. Spread cream of mushroom soup over top of casserole. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until done.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This can be made as Hobo Pockets (an old Scout recipe) by making patties of the ground beef and putting in the middle of a square of foil (double layer) layer on the cheese, onions, and sliced potaotes, omit the soup. Seal tightly in the foil and place on the grill or if cooking on open fire place carefully on some coals.
