Personal Notes:
Filled with layers od salami, ham, cheese, and olive salad, mullulettas are cold-cut competitors of the po'boy. The name refers to the shape of the bread. Muffuletta means "little muffin". The Itialian bakers sold them to Itialian delis. The delis wrapped the sandwiched in the same paper the bread came in, so the sandwich took on the name.
