1 (46 oz. jar) Mt. Olive Kosher dill pickles

SYRUP:
1 cup water
2 cups white sugar
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
2 whole cinnamon sticks

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pickles and rinse well with cold water; drain again. Cut into 3/4 inch chunks and return to jar.

Combine syrup ingredients in small saucepan, stirring well. Once this mixture starts to bubble, boil FOR ONE MINUTE.

Pour HOT syrup into jar over pickles (including cinnamon sticks). Re-cap and refrigerate at least one week.

I originally got this recipe from my 90-year old Aunt Berta. I shared it with Mary Grace and know it has become a favorite in the Corvelli house! Although the pickles are ready to eat after one week, they get better with age!!
